Hello!

My name is Seth Forman and I was born and raised here in Austin where I attended Lake Travis High School.

Unfortunately, this picture is from three years ago and, therefore, is not the most current. I’m working now to get a more current professional picture, but for this week, my high school senior self will have to do.

I came to UT to major in computer science with the desire to learn applicable skills that could help me get a job where I could solve challenging problems with smart people. Now, I’m a junior taking CS373 with the same intentions — to learn about relevant skills and tools that are used to solve some of the common problems of software development.

The first two lectures left me with positive impressions of CS373. I found the Socratic style of the lectures to be highly engaging. Hearing about the content of the course left me eager to learn. I’m excited to learn more over tools such as Docker and over solutions such as design patterns.

Pick of the Week: With the start of school, I tried out the app Pocket Schedule for its promise to keep your calendar, todo list, and assignment due dates all in one place. Based on my first few days of use, I’d recommend anyone looking for a new organization tool to give it a try.
